AMBASSADOR FOR THE TELETHON ADVENTURERS
The Telethon Adventurers are a group of people dedicated to finding the cause and ultimately the cure for childhood cancer; they raise money by conducting adventurous, arduous and sometimes dangerous activities all over the world.
Lisa is a proud ambassador of the Telethon Adventurers. When Lisa first met Emily Parish it was like they had been friends forever. The Parish’s story is one of heartbreak, determination and inspiration. Their beautiful son Elliot was diagnosed with medullablastoma, the most common form of brain tumour found in children at just 2 years old. Elliot Parish touched the hearts of West Australians as he bravely fought and eventually lost his battle with cancer in February 2011.
Lisa has hosted many events for the Telethon Adventurers including the inaugural Spring Soiree in 2011 and the Global Symposium on Childhood Brain Tumours held in April of 2013. Unlike fellow adventurer George Houvadis Lisa has not yet climbed a mountain in Italy but one day for such a worthy and heartfelt cause she believes she will.
